I love the thought of these characters from various fairy-tales living in a perpetual state of wanting to relive their big moment. . .the 15 min of fame – if you will. Always on the lookout for another child to come around and play.

[...] The dodo, it happens, has the scientific name Didus ineptus because it couldn’t fly. Until a certain time, people thought it was just a myth. Apparently, they’re real and they’re still not extinct in my dream. It’s the only chick I recognized, but I don’t why I didn’t take it. Aside from what I saw in the encyclopedia when I was a kid, I don’t even know a thing about dodos. I didn’t know they’re already gone and that maybe I should have taken one even if it didn’t fly.
