The Dodo Blog

Statue of a mauriciuszi dodo (Raphus cucullatus), from the site of birds by the Hungarian ecologist, parasitologist and writer Rózsa Lajos. I don’t speak the language, but I think that “Dodofélék” means “Dodo Bird” according to the site.

The Dodo sculpture created by polyscene using silver wire, acid free tissue paper and copper walking stick.

After Tenniel from his illustration for Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’. Lewis Carroll’s (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson’s) use of the Dodo in his book is a reference to himself, he had a stutter and very frequently pronounced his name “Do-do-dodgson”.

Here the Dodo is about to take flight from his paper chrysanthemum. This flower is created using a ancient Chinese modular money folding technique.

DoDo Bird by Jim’s Critters and Creations, Tamera Rae Creations. Just abstract and it will be a dodo.

This DoDo Bird appeared in my garage one night while I was kicking back & having some fun.
Having been thought extinct, it was a definite surprise.
He may be the only one left but who knows ? There may be a mate some where.
